Vintage Dresser Rescue Using Chalk Paint® Decorative Paint by Annie Sloan

Dresser image: Beforecindy_001A lovely, but lonely dresser brought back to life by Cindy using Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan!

This vintage oak dresser was in truly rough shape and even had a later-added laminated top, damaged finish, and lots of general wear. In all, it badly needed a rescue.

Cindy used Coco on sides and the square on top, French Linen on the large stripes and Olde White in a 1:8 ratio with French Linen for the side stripes and middle stripe. She said she had to do a little sanding for prep after removing the laminate top and to bring down a shiny finish. She also used blue painter’s tape to keep the lines straight. Two coats of Clear Soft Wax, a little buffing, and a beauty is born! Sorry folks, this charming piece didn’t last a week and has already been sold. #Chalk Paint®”, the best paint in the world!
